Privacy policy

This explains what we collect, why, where it goes, and how to get it deleted. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
What we collect
There are two different situations, and they are worth separating.
If you send us a brief
You give us two things: the text you wrote and the email address you typed. We do not ask for a name, a phone number, or a company field. A work email already tells us where you work.
Sending the form also records what any web request records. Our hosting provider stores four things alongside what you typed: the IP address it came from, your browser's user agent, the page you came from, and the time. We did not choose to collect those and we do not use them, but they exist, so they belong on this page rather than in a footnote.
The text you write is business information, and it may be commercially sensitive. We treat it that way. It is not published, sold, or shared beyond what is described below.
If you become a customer
We then hold whatever your application contains: your records, your files, and the accounts of the people on your team. That data is yours. We process it to run the service you are paying for and for nothing else.
What we do not collect
- No cookies. This site sets none.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising networks, no session recording.
- Your browser stores two things locally, and neither reaches us: your light or dark theme choice, and a draft of your brief so a refresh does not lose it. Clearing site data removes both.
How we use it
A brief is used to build the MVP you asked for and to email you the link. We may follow up about that MVP. We will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Who else touches it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf:
- Hosting
- Serves this website and receives what you submit through the form.
- AI model processing
- The text of your brief is sent to a third-party AI provider so we can generate an MVP from it. This is the one place your words leave our systems, and it is worth knowing before you write anything you would not want processed by a third party.
- AI model processing, for customers using Inky
- If your team asks Inky a question about your data, the records needed to answer it are sent to a third-party AI provider. Only what that question needs, only when someone asks, and never to train a model. Detail is on the trust page.
- Email delivery
- Delivers the message containing your MVP link.
Customers can ask us for the current list of named providers at any time, and we will tell you before we add one that handles your data.
We do not sell personal information, and we have never done so. Nobody beyond these providers gets your data unless the law requires it.
Where it lives
Customer applications run on our infrastructure, in a region you choose, in a cloud project isolated to you alone. Your data is not pooled with another customer's. There is nothing for your team to host, patch, or monitor.
How long we keep it
If you send us a brief and never become a customer, we delete it within 60 days. You do not have to ask, and you do not have to wait. If you would rather it went sooner, email us and it goes.
If you do become a customer, your brief becomes part of your project record and is kept for as long as you are with us. Customer data is exported to you when you leave.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you have equivalent rights.
The route is the same for all of it: email hello@octryon.com. There is no form and no ticket queue. We aim to answer within one business day and to act within thirty.
Security
Data is isolated per customer, access is restricted to the people who need it to run the service, and we can export everything you hold with us on request. More detail is on the trust page.
